Funding Options
Care Plan with Medicare Rebate
You may be eligible for Medicare rebate if you have a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) with a Dietitian referral. This can also apply to you if there is an Eating Disorder management plan from your GP or Psychiatrist that includes a Dietitian referral.

Private Health Fund
Most Private Health Insurance companies provide dietitian funding options as part of their Extras package. However, eligibility will depend on your insurance provider and your level of cover. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm the rebate you can access. HICAPs terminals are available to assist you in making your claim on the spot.
Initial visit: 60 minutes: $140 (concession $125)
Subsequent visit: 30 minutes: $85 (concession $76)
NDIS
If you are an NDIS participant, you may be eligible for fully funded Dietitian support tailored to your needs. This access will depend on your NDIS goals and your current plan. If you're uncertain about your options, please check with your Plan Manager or Support Coordinator.
DVA
You may be able to receive fully funded dietetic services if you have a Veteran Gold Card or a Veteran White Card with an accepted service-related condition. To be eligible for a DVA rebate, you need a referral from your GP or medical specialist.
Support at Home Program
Dietitian services are classified as essential clinical supports designed to help older adults maintain health, manage chronic conditions, and live independently. You may be eligible for fully funded Dietitian support, please chat with your support coordinator or aged care assessor.
Home visit is available.
